Part 2 – Schengen Visa Application and Preparations
Embarking on our much-awaited European expedition, we tackled the challenge of the visa application process. Navigating through the steps to obtain a Schengen visa from the Consulate of Italy, we gained access to the entire Schengen region, encompassing 26 countries. Our journey commenced with a visit to the VFS Global office in Kolkata to initiate the application, backed by a meticulously assembled set of documents. From submitting fingerprints to completing payment, we smoothly progressed through the stages, ultimately securing the prized Schengen visa. With this accomplishment, our dream journey to France, Switzerland, and Italy moved a significant step ahead.
